Timothy focuses his practice in intellectual property litigation, patent, trademark and copyright procurement and counseling, and licensing.
Tim joined Servilla Whitney after several years as managing partner of a boutique intellectual property law firm. Tim has served as lead counsel in numerous patent, trademark, and copyright litigations throughout the country over the past several years. Tim also assists clients with development and management of patent and trademark portfolios, licensing, validity and enforceability review, right-to-use and infringement studies, and due diligence for the purchase or sale of intellectual property assets. Tim represents clients across a broad range of technologies, including the pharmaceutical and chemical arts, imaging, solenoids, electrical connectors, telephony, computer software, semiconductors, and mechanical devices ranging from motors to plastic drums.
Prior to entering the legal field, Tim spent several years as an environmental scientist, working both in the lab and in the field supporting Superfund cleanups as well as lake and watershed management.
Tim spent several years coaching youth basketball and soccer and is a past Chairman of the Board of Embrace Kids Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting the families of children with cancer, blood disorders and other serious medical conditions.
