David’s practice includes domestic and international patent preparation and counseling in the areas of chemistry, semiconductor devices and manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, and other biotechnologies.
Prior to joining Servilla Whitney, David completed his master’s degree in Biotechnology at Brown University, where he designed and developed long-lasting drug delivery systems using various polymer/drug matrices. His education also included giving advice on SaMD products with regards to intellectual property and regulatory matters, as well as engaging in pitch competitions for various potential startup ideas.
During his time at Rutgers Law School, David focused his studies on intellectual property law, taking courses in patent law, trademark and copyright law, and patent claim drafting. David was also an assistant for the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Clinic, where he researched and advised New Jersey residents on intellectual property issues involving idea protection, trade secrets, trademark, copyrights, rights of publicity, and patents. Additionally, David served as the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal, the earliest and longest running academic journal dedicated to publishing pieces on the intersection of law and technology.
Outside the office, David enjoys playing tennis, going to EDM concerts, and travelling to new countries.
